  • Wu Style Long Form has 104 movements (about 40 different ones--most movements are
repeated). Students learn the early part of the sequence in the beginning class, start from
there and add on in the intermediate class, and finish the form in the advanced class.

  • The T'ai Chi for Back Pain and Arthritis form has 21 Sun Style movements. Ten
additional movements are added in the continuing class.

  • The 42 Combined Forms blend the principles and characteristics of the 4 main family styles -- Chen, Wu, Yang, and Sun. Knowledge of another style is a prerequisite.

  • Various related qigong and therapeutic exercises are also taught, and these are often
accompanied by handouts. Some time will be given to explaining the origins and history
    of T'ai Chi.

Enrollment in the Classes

  • Check out the first class (or any class) with no obligation to pay or enroll.
  • Come to the first class 15 minutes early in order to fill out an enrollment form.
Fees are due when a student enrolls.
  • Students can begin as late as the third week.
  • Students that sign up for one class a week can attend any appropriate class that suits their
schedule in a given week. One way or another (including attending more than one class a
week), try to get in the same number of classes as there are weeks in the session.
  • Students who pay the higher fee can attend any number of classes each week. Some people study more than one style at a time.
  • A full refund will be given if the instructor is notified within 2 weeks of the start of the
session that the student will not be able to take the class. After 2 weeks, credit will be
    given for a future session.
  • Classes missed in one session cannot be made up in future sessions.
  • Students already familiar with the entire sequence who want an occasional refresher class
or would like to practice with the group may drop in for a $10 fee.
